When I started ThinkingMedia our approach to finding new clients was extremely simple and very successful. I just picked up the telephone and started calling every business in my area that could benefit from my home grown talents and years of experience. The phone call started with me introducing myself.  "Hello, my name is Mathew Foscarini. I'm calling to introduce you to our animation and software development services." Now this was one of my first sales calls for ThinkingMedia and the dead silence on the other end of the phone felt like it lasted for several minutes.

"Do you know anything about automating exported footage from Adobe AfterEffects using JavaScript?" was the reply I received.

"Do I ever!" was my excited response.  Why was there a dead silence after I introduced myself? Our client couldn't believe that we took the time to look him up in the phone book and make first contact. He had been looking for help with his film project for almost an entire year.
